Created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball, Son Goku & Dragon -40th Anniversary Edition- joins the S.H.Figuarts lineup as a special release inspired by the cover illustration of DRAGON BALL 1. This commemorative figure captures the playful adventure spirit of early Dragon Ball, turning one of the series’ most iconic visuals into a collectible display piece.
Cover Illustration Recreated
The figure is designed to reproduce the atmosphere of Akira Toriyama’s original artwork, with Son Goku posed alongside the dragon and classic accessory options. The included sleeve uses the DRAGON BALL 1 cover illustration, making this release feel especially meaningful for longtime fans and collectors of anniversary items.
Articulation & Display Options
The non-articulated statue base was created by Hiroyuki Nakazawa, STUDIO-Ren-, and Yusuke Watanabe, while articulation work was handled by Cerow, known for work on the S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball series. With multiple expression parts, hands, hairstyle, head, belt, weapons, cloud supports, and dragon display parts, the set allows collectors to recreate many illustrations drawn by Akira Toriyama.
